Melbourne based label Caves Collect was established in 2014 by Johanna Howe and Sarah Russell. The label exemplifies an elegance which is both easy and honest, focusing on ethical wardrobe classics made from premium materials.

Howe and Russell are firm believers in conveying an appreciation for the making process, advocating for sustainable and local manufacturing. All Caves Collect clothing and leather goods are made in Melbourne – Australia.


We are looking for a motivated person who loves to work in a highly organised and systematic way to manage the Caves Collect Studio at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne, Australia. This role would be well suited to a self motivated person who is looking for a stimulating part time role in a supportive small female led team. This is a flexible position that would work well for someone who is needing to work around other commitments. 

The role of the Studio Manager includes working with the owner to organise and streamline processes and systems within the business to increase efficiency across our webstore, customer service, inventory and production. We have exciting plans for this young business and this role is pivotal in furthering our vision for the future of Caves Collect.

- Intermediate to High level skills in Microsoft Suite, in particular Excel / Google - Sheets
    Desired but not necessary
    - Experience in managing an Ecommerce store - ideally Shopify
    - Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
      Customer Service : Attend to all customer communications across all our platforms, including undertaking training to answer all customer questions. 
      - Ensure customer enquiries via email and social platforms are replied to within 24-hours (Mon-Fri).
      - Liaise with 3PL to ensure orders are shipping on time and communicate with customers any expected delays.
      - Follow up with customers on any shipping or order troubles. 
      - Pick and pack orders. 
      - Process exchanges and communicate with customers about store credits, exchanges or refunds.
      - Maintain relationships with VIP Customers.
      - Manage and reply to all Product Review’s on our online store.

        ECommerce : Manage updates and maintenance of the Caves Collect e-commerce Shopify platform and all associated apps to ensure consistency and accuracy.  
      - Update the Ecommerce store stock levels in a timely manner.
      - Update the Ecommerce store with new products.
      - Update product descriptions, information and images when necessary.
      - Maintain all Ecommerce store Apps.
      - Advise team when ongoing styles are running low.
      - Organise and maintain systems for photo storage.

       Administration : Maintain general office administration. 
      - Maintain strong communication with team. Answer emails, texts etc in a timely manner.
      - Update and maintain ASANA. Check off tasks as they are completed and communicate with team of any deadline changes.
      - Email any purchase invoices / receipts to the book keeper in a timely manner.
      - Pay invoices for production ordering where necessary, if directed.
      - Monitor and order Office Stationary/ Materials.

      Production : Work with the design team to compile production budgets, and critical timelines to meet collection deadlines.  Efficiently and accurately order and compile components for production runs, whilst maintaining and updating systems.
      - Coordinate production with regular communication with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that the process runs smoothly and that deadlines are met.
      - Update relevant production spreadsheets.
      - Create costing sheets for production runs.
      - Work with the designer to compile fabric and trim orders.
      - Manage the compilation of production packs.
      - Execute Style Cut Sheets based on sales trends and seasonal forecasting to ensure customer demand is fulfilled and sell through rate is high.
      - Maintain stock levels of core components and materials for production and packaging.
